The three musketeers... coolermaster musketeer - system dynamics detector

I was in lowyat yesterday... I went into all it hypermarket and saw something sitting there that attracts me. Yeah it was the coolermaster musketeer. The musketeer was priced at RM32 (which I dunno why they sell it for RM150 for the past years) which made me grabbed my hands on it.

The packaging

The box of the musketeer...

Summary of the musketeer... very detailed

The Musketeer

the rear panel of the musketeer. temperature control, 4-pin molex power connector, volume connector and the fan controller connector

Ok... Let me tell you what does the panel does

You can control the fan speed. BUT it does not seem to work. (seriously tried out with a few fans) it actually controls the voltage to the fan. it does not control the speed. (shit... a fakie)

The volume. you gotta now this. the volume controller controls the volume for the musketeer to detect not for it to control the volume coming out from the speaker. (another fakie) and shows how many dB's are produced.

Somehow the temperature sensor worked really well after all. (thank god. at least something worked)

The items

manuals... took me 15 mins to understand it. coolermaster should improve their manuals

a few wires n brackets. will go through.

FAN controller connector. if you don't have a fan that u can't control the speed use this connector
if you have this, a FAN that u can control the speed use this connector

temperature sensor
Sound jacks
Used with the cable above

looks something like this after installing it

screws

After Installation

Looks better now rite? (especially with my Coolermaster Elite)

at night / dark places

looks bright.

yup after buying this i kinda pok kai. must go earn more cash!!!

Corsair XMS2 High Peformance RAM... Ultimate Budget Peformance???

another day at lowyat.... saw some cheap high performance rams on the shelves in Pristage IT.... My hands were itchy that time... so I bought 2pcs of GB Corsair XMS2 RAMS..... (timings were 5-5-5-12 not really tight enough but anyway it is a reasonable cheap price of rm50)

The Packaging

The heat sink looks pretty cool... but not as cool as the XMS2 DHXThe model number...

Conclusion
The RM50 Super budget RAM is quite a really good choice. Of course you cant compare with those Xtra Xtreme Performance RAM like Team Xtreem and stuff... So this RAM is quite a good choice for value priced high performance ram

Gigabyte SuperB 550W PSU

Power supplies... Power supplies.... You guys heard enough about it? OK the problem is some of us doesn't want to waste money on power supplies which could be expensive. Anyway, some people think that the "cap ayam", "cheap cheap", "paria donkey" etc. power supply is good enough to power a basic system. Besides that there are people saying "Aiyoh, 9800GT can run on a 550W power supply? Scared burn then gg.com.my.edu.org.gov....!!!" Today I'll recommend you guys a good and inexpensive quality power supply which is the Gigabyte SuperB 550W.

D-link DIR-655 Xtreme Wireless N GIGABIT Router

D-Link was famous for its high end routers.... so i decided to grab my hands on the DIR-655 Wifi Router.

The Packaging

D-Link claims that this router has 6X Better range n 14X faster than any ordinary routers... hope that is true XD...

basic info about the router.... nice diagram

The DIR-655 router

wow... this router looks extremely nice.... the nice bling bling lights

This router has 4 Gigalan port = 1000.0MBPS... extremely good on a home network, and a USB Port for your network hardisk (but it lacks a ADSL Line but who cares anyway)

Looks yeng also when it is standing up

Conclusion
tested this router in school... the peformance was extremely good. It boosted up our intenet compared to the cheap paria donkey router provided by the goverment. This router is one of the best router ever. (my school internet is 10X faster now LOL!)

Albatron 9600GT

nvidia just launched the new 9series graphics.... i was lucky 2 grab 1 of those cards before
the stock went off... It was just rm470 (pretty resoanable for a reference card)

I took a few pictures of the card..... hope u enjoy it (using a Canon IXUS 80IS..... I really hate the flash of that camera)

the box (looks pretty ugly)

the fetures (quite usual for a cheap card like this)as usual..... all the reference card comes wif 2 dvi ports and a S-vidio output
and the extra tools(SPDIF cable, quick start guide, HDMI output...... (who uses a 4pin molex conveter)

the peformance of this card i'll say ok lah..... can get 25FPS can play crysis already (on high DX10 1650x1050 reso) But my laptop can do better than this....... anyway this is a good choice for people who is on a budget for high end gamming..... wad u guys can expect wif a cheap... cheap card.... to be extremely good is it
